Founded in 1967, we served over 100 children prior to the pandemic, and are now expanding back to previous enrollments. We are a New Jersey licensed, full day pre-school and child care program for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. Open year-round, our program is designed to meet a child’s educational, emotional, and spiritual needs through a developmentally appropriate curriculum. As a direct ministry of Christ Church, all are welcome in our school.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
(Full time) Nursery School Director: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
The following are required to be considered for this position:
- A love for children and a commitment to play-based and creative learning environments
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, education, or a closely related field with a Master’s Degree preferred
- Prior experience in early childhood education and in an administrative position working with children, with a solid understanding of child development
- Experience with technology platforms, including office productivity and social media apps
- Strong administrative, management, and supervisory skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with teachers, parents, students, and the church leadership
- Passionate educator, with a commitment to excellence and creative, play-based learning
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to get these within 90 days of hire
- Must clear a full background check.
- Ability to work within a diverse and fast-paced environment with patience and humor
- Be willing to serve in the classroom if needed
- Familiarity with NJCCIS and other state related websites, programs, and processes
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID and meet all other immunizations and tests required by the State of New Jersey.
- Must be able to lift a child (approximately 50lbs) on a regular basis, and be able to quickly climb or descend stairs as may be needed.

(Part time) Nursery School Teaching Assistant: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-1pm or 12:30pm-5:30pm
We are looking for the following:
- Experience as a child care / daycare teacher or assistant
- Infant care experience preferred (for Infant Room applicants)
- Works well in a group environment, but can handle situations independently
- Patient, creative, flexible
- Works well with children
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Must be comfortable with using phone, tablet, or computer apps
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID and meet all other immunizations and tests required by the State of New Jersey.
- Must be able to lift a child (approximately 50lbs) on a daily basis, and be able to quickly climb or descend stairs.
